IS it possible to implement the scrollspy into the sidenav? If so, how would I go about doing this?

you can implement scrollspy in sidenav, look at our documentation: http://mdbootstrap.com/javascript/scrollspy/ . We didn't test scrollspy with sidenav but you can implement and test how it works.
