Our tutorials were written by Michal, who is using Windows which hasn't the git installed by the default so he had to install git scm. This is very useful, especially for developers which can quickly open a directory using the terminal and just work on it

On Linux and Mac OS, you have the git already installed so you don't need any additional apps to be able to use git. Moreover, they also do have the option "open in the terminal". Personally, when we're speaking about Linux, I use Ubuntu where this option is already enabled, but on Mac, I had to go to the System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Services and manually enable the option named "New Terminal at Folder" just like I did: Mac OS - System Preferences

Now you should have this option on your folders:

Mac OS - open folder in terminal
