Topic: loading="lazy" to Carousel images

AnnaK premium asked 4 years ago

Hello!

I am using the Card Crousel and am wondering if I can get the images to get the loading="lazy" attribute in them. I tried to put it in the

Or any other way to get them to load lazily?

Currently, it's not possible because the component expects to have access to the images on the initial load. I added this feature to our tasks and we will check what we can do in this matter.

Ok thank you. Hope you can notify me if/when you get this possibility.

Is there any other way not to load the images straight away? At least in mobile, when only one image is visible at a time, it could be good if the carousel wouldn't load all the images beforehand.

We agree that this is a useful feature, but currently, it's not possible to achieve this kind of behavior in the carousel component.

Hello! Just checking if there possibly has been added a possibility to add the lazy loading to carousel images?

@AnnaK This feature has not been added yet. We are currently working on updates with higher priority.
