Topic: mdb-select without placeholder

Ignacio Mariano Chiodo pro asked 6 years ago

Hi! I wanna know if it's possible to use a mdb-select without a placeholder, because i want to give the select a default value, for example: i have a products list and a mdb-select where they're shown, and the first element of the mdb-select is a default option called "All" so if nothing else is selected, all the products will be showed. In the mdb-select documentation, there's an example where the default element is the first option, and not the placeholder, but in the code i can't tell the difference between that and the one that has the placeholder as first item. Here's the documentation: https://mdbootstrap.com/angular/advanced/material-select/ And the tittle wich i reference is "COLOR VARIATIONS" Thank you very much !!

Dear Ignacio,

you can simply use ngModel for that, please check following thread:
