Topic: NavBar - resize issue Internet Explorer
rewardstay pro asked 6 years ago
I have just started using the Angular Pro and I am using one of the predefined layouts on the website (9. Double Navigation with hidden SideNav & fixed Navbar)
It displays in Chrome, Firefox OK, but I had to remove
<div class="sidenav-bg mask-strong"></div>
for it work in Internet Explorer as someone pointed out
that should be done, not sure why, but I blindly did it anyway.
The problem I am having now is when I resize the screen in
Internet Explorer 11 to make it small like on small devices,
the NavBar get resize to the point where I can hardly see it.
Does anyone have any idea as to how to fix this issue.
I need it to work on all browsers the same way.

Dear rewardstay, Could you please provide me with screenshots of actual behavior and the code which you're using? I'm unable to see any problems with resizing it. Best Regards, Damianrewardstay pro commented 6 years ago

Dear rewardstay, Unfortunately, we're not supporting Internet Explorer. It's an old browser that does not support any technological standards. So, as for now, I cannot provide you any workaround or fix for it. We'll try to check what's wrong there and we'll try to fix these problems in the future. But I cannot provide you any ETA on this fix. Best Regards, Damianrewardstay pro commented 6 years ago
I am not following you. I said Internet Explorer 11, which most internet users uses, especially the the Microsoft lovers. Are you saying that I should tell all my users not to use Internet Explorer, if I am using Angular Mdbootstrap to do my web portal? My business may die before it even start. The Nav and Side Nav seems to work very well on your website with Internet Explorer 11. You probably want to escalate this one. You are making me worried that I may have purchased a product that I cannot use. I am expecting millions of users per week on my online platform and I have to cover all browsers no matter what.Damian Gemza staff commented 6 years ago
As I said before, we'll try to fix it in future, but I cannot provide you any ETA on this. If you need the faster solution, you can try to fix it on own hand. Best Regards, Damianrewardstay pro commented 6 years ago
I am trying to understand of the scope of fixing required. Is it the Nav component only that is not supported on Internet Explorer or all MDBootstrap components?Damian Gemza staff commented 6 years ago
In general, we do not support Internet Explorer throughout the MDB library because it is an outdated browser that does not support any of the currently used standards. This causes problems with the use of some MDB components in the MDB. I will not give you an exact list of what works and what doesn't work for Internet Explorer, because we don't have it. I hope I have answered your question. Best Regards, Damian
