Topic: [Pro User] Animation done in WOW (JavaScript) and Angular not smooth

Vitor Pavanelli free asked 7 years ago

Hi MDB team,

The WOW animation makes the elements being animated to flick. It causes bad user experience.

Is it something I am doing wrong?

Why are you even using javascript for animation if Angular has the animation package?

Please, let me know how to fix this "blink" experience because it impacts my business.

Thank you,

Vitor

Hello, Dear Vitor, If you want to use our Smooth Scroll animation, you have to use mdbPageScroll directive onto your's anchor element. Please notice, that Smooth Scroll is only available in PRO version. https://mdbootstrap.com/angular/advanced/smooth-scroll/ Best Regards, Damian

Hi Dawid,

I understand. I will close this for now since I won't be using it as I thought I would.

Thank you for trying,

Vitor

Hi Dawid, Please, how is the test coming? Thank you, Vitor

Hi Vitor, unfortunately, no outcome yet, we are still investigating that. It's really odd behaviour and difficult to trace/debug

Hi Dawid,

I'm using the most recent Chrome, FF, Opena and Edge version.

Please, access this link:

https://mdbtest-br.firebaseapp.com

Click on "Sobre" and then click on "Contato". Keep switching between those 2 and you will see, when leaving the page, a not smooth animation on both.

Thank you,

Vitor

Thanks, looking into this!

Hi Damian, That's not the issue. I'm also using the PRO MDB version. Please, build internally one Angular project sample like this page: https://mdbootstrap.com/live/_MDB/index/docs/intros/intro-contact-form.html Create 2 menu links with the same content, add the WOW javascript to it and switch the the page clinking on the links. You will see the WOW does the effect (which is good) but it has some "blinks/flicks" when leaving the page. Thank you, Vitor
