Topic: [Request] MDBSelect: HtmlTemplate for selected Item
When implementing the mdbselect component my options are only icons <i class="fa fas fa-some-icon"></i>.
The html code will not display at the selected item causing it to appear empty since there is also no text in the mdb-option element.
Is or will there be any way to allow icon in the selected item in future?

I'm not sure if I understand the question correctly. Do you want to customize the content displayed in the select 'input' after option selection (in the place where the label is displayed when the option is not selected and the component is not active)?

Yes - correct like in other libs via template for example

Currently, this isn't possible, and we have no plans to implement such a feature. However, we will discuss it with our team and add it to the list of ideas. Perhaps such a feature will be implemented in the future, especially if there are more requests.
