Topic: What does "mdbActive" do?

Hello,I`ve wondered what the "mdbActive" in the following code does... can somebody explain it to me please? :)
<div class="md-form"> <input mdbActive type="text" id="form1" class="form-control"> <label for="form1" class="">Example label</label> </div>

mdbActiveis a directive which let your input label go up if you click on your input or just write something in it.
