I am trying to make a modal scrollable like the contact-modal How to do this?

I've just checked this site on my iPhone XR and the modal example on your page is very very glitchy. Eventually, I can get it to scroll, but usually, the page behind the modal is scrolling while I swipe.

The Scrolling Modal example is broken, and appears to have been for two years.
