Hi There, I would like to use the components in Visual Studio. Can any of the component be accessed through Code behind to modify them?i.e if I add a chart in the aspx file can I access it through its ID to initialize the DataSet? Thanks

You cannot just wire them up like a server control.  You would need to write from the code behind to the document JavaScript.   If you are using MVC it is quite easy, just model bind and loop through (iterate) in your razor.

Hi there tonytohme, Thanks for reaching out! What components do you exactly have in mind? Your question seems related to Visual Studio and ASP.NET more rather than to MDB or Bootstrap. As we don't conduct tests for environments not specified in our documentation, VS Studio Support seems a place better fit for answering the question. With Best Regards, Kuba

Hi Kuba, I am referring to your Charts component (https://mdbootstrap.com/javascript/charts/) if I wanted to populate the chart on runtime from a DataSet without using the JavaScript directly but rather using the control's ID from C# (code behind) to populate it from a DB. My question is can I access your Chart control from Code behind? Thanks

Hi tonytohme, Thanks for clarifying. MDB is JS-based and that fact directs the ways in which we test it. I guess any uses outside of that are a matter of one's exploration. The idea seems reasonable, though. Please, let us know about the outcomes. With Best Regards, Kuba
