It would be nice if it were possible to add our own custom skin without having to hack the sass too much. I have done this and in general it works but I find that some elements do not work off the skin variables. Outline Buttons for example. Adding our own custom classes to override styles in _custom.scss can be quite onerous if there are a lot of styles and states that have been produced by skins/mixins running earlier in the chain.
