The following: badge badge-light results in white text, overriding bootstrap's dark text. Thus one can't see the text.

Not yet. We will fix that in the next release.

Hi, sorry for the bug, we'll fix this soon and now you can just add class .black-text to the .badge .badge-light. Best, Marta
