Topic: Datatables problem with "à" and "î" ?

I use datatables since it's available in MDBootstrap ,but today I notice what seems to be a bug.

I often use accented characters and there is no problem, except with the "à" and the "î" (for the moment).

I tested it in another part of my website (with exactly the same database field) and it works perfectly... except in a Datatable.

Are you aware of a problem like this?

I did other tests since yesterday and it seems to come from an other part, but not dataTables. I don't understand why because when I test this elsewhere it works perfectly. So, this problem doesn't come from MDBootstrap or DataTables, I'm sorry. :) May I delete my post?

I found the solution. If anyone else has this problem, it was because my DB was in utf8mb4_general_ci, and it causes some problems in few SQL requests, it works well with utf8mb4_unicode_ci.

Hello, Could you describe how does that problem reveal? Please send us screenshot or copy-paste console errors. For now I can't tell much about that 'bug' (that doesn't occure within my tests, so I think it is specific to environment). Thanks for posting! :) Best regards, Jakub from MDB
