Upgrading to MDB Pro 4.4.1 from 4.3.1 Your ChangeLog indicates:
  1. Removed nearly all .hidden-* classes in favor of our newer .d-* display utilities
A search of the mdb.css file reveals no .d-* styles. Where are they?

Found the .d-* utilities...they are in Bootstrap. I was thrown off by the working of your note, "our newer", and assumed they were MDB styles.
