Hi, you need put input mask in your product, its something easy and with this you will increase the quality and ecosystem for MDB.

Example:

$(document).ready(function(){
  $(selector).inputmask("aa-9999");  //static mask
  $(selector).inputmask({mask: "aa-9999"});  //static mask
});
