SideNav is a premium component, and according to our system, you use MDB Free version.
Please, provide us a number o your order or registered email to confirm your access to MDB Pro components and premium support.
I can think more about that problem but first send number of your order or registered email to me on email: p.glejzer@mdbootstrap.com
Best,
Piotr

I needed to add this to the solution: onclick="$('#sidenav-overlay').detach(); return false;"Piotr Glejzer staff commented 6 years ago
Just to be clear, if you clicked on button collapse several times it copies div with id sidenav-overlay?Димка «bonny» Антипов free commented 6 years ago
Exactly. Suppose I put the nav contents in a container and when I expand the side-nav I see nav and I can click the button again. sidenav-overlay is created again, and slide-nav is opened again.
