Topic: Non Bootstrap Standard SCSS file?

crumbdav premium asked 3 years ago

Greetings; I am trying to use a third-party product (DevExpress/DevExtreme) to create a custom DevExtreme Theme to integrate with my MDBootstrap site.

They have an application which takes a _variables.scss file and creates a new stylesheet for them to use with their components.

When I try to import MDB's _variables.scss, errors pop up. When I sent the file to DevExpress, here is what they stated:

The following error is shown in a web browser console when your file is uploaded: Undefined variable: "$grey-lighten-3" on line 169.

*The issue occurs because the "grey-lighten-3" variable (and some other variables) are not defined in your SCSS file. In Theme Builder, we use base Bootstrap variables from the following files: https://github.com/twbs/bootstrap/blob/v4-dev/scss/_variables.scss https://github.com/twbs/bootstrap/blob/v4-dev/scss/_functions.scss However, these files don't list the "grey-lighten-3" variable. If you are using custom variables, I suggest you define them in your _variables.scss file.*

Can you tell me what needs to be done to resolve this issue?

Many thanks,

--Dave

Hi!

You can find this variable in our _colors.scss file. We have many style files, so I'm afraid that for this moment the only solution is to copy the required variables to the _variables.scss file.
