Topic: Outline select with search - dropdown scroll

Tina Meadors pro asked 4 years ago

*Expected behavior*When the default empty value option is selected and dropdown is displayed, I had expected to see the Search field at the top of the options list.

*Actual behavior*When the default empty value option is selected and dropdown is displayed, the dropdown list is scrolled so that the default option is at the top of the dropdown and it is necessary to scroll UP to see the Search field.

The behavior can be seen in this snippet.https://mdbootstrap.com/snippets/jquery/tinameadors-com/1447808

Is there some class or script I can use to force the dropdown list not to display partially scrolled if the value is empty? I want users to see the search field at the top of the list if no value has been selected.

Thanks - that works perfectly (after I finally tracked down my two lines of code that were re-setting it back to active after the script changed it. LOL!)
