I have the same problem and I do not think is related to Ruby on Rails:

Hi there rockavaler, As it has been already noted in the referenced thread, the bug report has been issued about the typo you suggest is causing compilation errors in RoR. The fix is scheduled to be included in the next release. With Best Regards, Kuba

Hi there Moussa, Thanks for contributing to the support board! For the time being MDB does not support RoR. It is possible, some of people here are using it, but they had to figure it all out for themselves. You surely will, too. With Best Regards, Kuba

Until the last version it works fine. but since this 4.5.0 I thinks a bug was introduced. Thanks to your reply! Ismael

Thanks for letting us know! There were many improvements introduced to our Sass syntax in MDB version 4.5, the compilation issue probably stems out of the fact. The bug report has been filed. Best, Kuba
