Topic: Timepicker in Modal Doesnt Open
Alvarado pro asked 5 years ago
*Expected behavior*I have a timepicker inside a modal. When I click on the input, I expect for it to open and remain open when I let go of the mouse.
*Actual behavior*It opens for a millisecond and then shuts down when I let end the click.(I already saw the answers on how to change the overflow css property to keep the timepicker from cutting off - different problem though)

We had some trouble recreating this issue, because it varies from browser to browser and depends on the length of the click. I've spoken with our jQuery team - they are already working on it.

I look forward to your rpeply. We are using the date picker and would like to use the time picker to match. The date picker works fine.

The fix will be included in the next release.

Can you tell me the time frame for the next release?

If everything goes according to the plan, it should be out on Monday.

I can confirm this is fixed in 4.8.5.

Thank you for your feedback ;)

Just to add to this, I see there was issue opened on GitHub about this and it says it was fixed in ver 4.7.5. I am on the very latest 4.8.3 (and tried 4.8.4) and I still have the issue.

I am seeing this issue also, and you can see it easily on the timepicker bootstrap page here:
https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/jquery/forms/time-picker/
Issue is in Chrome, Firefox is ok.
Note that it works ok on this page, not sure what version of the TimePicker is here:

You can also see the problem here: https://codepen.io/anon/pen/RPwJvY (Not uploaded by me, just found it while searching for a solution)

Problem in this code snippet is different from the one you've described - it says open but it's contained within a modal. Can you share you code here: https://mdbootstrap.com/snippets ? It would be much easier to find a solution.
