Topic: Updating MDB jQuery version: best practice

twentyfour pro asked 5 years ago

Hi everyone,

when working on MDB jQuery projects, I always find it difficult to update MDB, including SASS-files, so that I'm not losing my precious code. My question is quite easy:

what is the best practice to update MDB jQuery projects without loosing your own _myfile.sass structure and such?

Hi,

if you download the package from your mdb.com account, you just have copy core/free/pro scss files and if your custom file has a name other than mdb files, you don't overwrite your custom file. About mdb.scss file, you just have to import your custom file in the new file from the newest version. We don't have an easier workaround for that.

Best, Marta
