Topic: MDB Vue Pro SCSS editable mode - Bootstrap dependency expectations

tyler-ec free asked 4 years ago

Hello,

I would like some clarification on the Bootstrap dependency for using MDB Pro in SCSS editable mode for Vue. The basic installation has a dependency on bootstrap-css-only and your getting started guide indicates to import the bootstrap css along with the mdb css.

However, in the SCSS editable mode section of your Getting Started doc it does not specify the dependency for bootstrap or an import statement. I see in the mdb folder that is created in the project it adds scss files that look to be bootstrap variable overrides in the mdb/mdbvue/scss/core/bootstrap folder. This leads me to believe I need to have the bootstrap npm package that will install the bootstrap scss files. And then import the bootstrap scss along with the mdb scss.

Is this assumption correct? Or should I be loading the bootstrap-css-only and importing the minified css file?

Thanks!

Hi there,

The SCSS editable mode applies only to MDB styles. Bootstrap css should be imported exactly like with the other modes (css-only in main.js file before mdb css/scss).

Best regards
