Topic: Strange Modal animation when adding an MDB Select.
peter.r.bladh@saabgroup.com free asked 5 years ago
When i add an MDB Select component (mdb-select) to my modal popup window, the animation behavior seems to be broken when the popup is displayed. The popup takes an extra "jump" before it is displayed. If I remove the MDB Select component the animation behavior is correct.

Dear Peter,
It seems, that there's some strange problem while you're mixing the dynamic modal with select at one time.
We'll investigate this problem, but unfortunately, I'm not able to provide you with some workaround of this situation.
If it possible, please use the static modal in place, where you need the select within it.
Best Regards,
Damian

Have you found anything new according to this problem?
Damian Gemza staff commented 5 years ago
We've got other tasks in our to do, so you have to wait patiently.

Okay, do you have any case number (or similar), so we have a chance to follow this up?
Damian Gemza staff commented 5 years ago
There's no possibility because the tasks list is internal, so only members of MDB could watch it.

Hi Damian,
When using Microsoft Edge the animation for the Dynamic Modal is not smooth even without the MDB Select component. If we use the Static Modal the animation works as expected.
Best Regards, Peter

The problem with dynamic modal & select will be resolved with the next release of MDB Angular. Also we'll take a look at the modal animation on Edge.

Dear Peter,
I'm not able to reproduce your problem. Could you please provide me with the code which you're using to achieve this strange modal animation?
Also, it would be nice, if you could provide me with a screen movie where there's visible the strange animation behavior.
Here's my email: d.gemza@mdbootstrap.com
Best Regards,
Damian

Hi Damian and thanks for the reply, Now I have tested this a little bit more and it seems that it is the Dynamic Modal windows that have this problem. So if you create a Dynamic Modal using the guide https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/angular/modals/basic/#dynamic and add an MDB Select into it, the problem should appear.
