Topic: Autocomplete function name is wrong

kennovation free asked 5 years ago

Before upgrading to 4.8.4 from 4.7.1 the following signature worked: $('#form-search').mdb_autocomplete({});

With 4.8.4 I get error "Uncaught TypeError: $(...).mdb_autocomplete is not a function"

Looking at the code, I changed my call to mdbAutocomplete() and this worked. This is not backward compatible and conflicts with the documentation. Seems that mdb_autocomplete should be supported or the doc updated.

(Side note, I love the arrow key support for autocomplete - I was waiting on it!)

Hi kennovation,

We are sorry that we didn't notice this problem earlier. Right now I am not sure in which version did this function name changed, but we will update our docs asap and one of our change logs to mention this syntax change. Thank you for contributing!

Best Regards, Piotr

(Side note, It's nice to hear you like something I coded!)
