Thanks for reporting this issue. That's a bug that we'll fix as soon as possible :) For now, I recommend you to use our autocomplete component instead. You can find it here: https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/jquery/forms/autocomplete/.

Thanks for caring. However, I cannot use the autocomplete component as I require the "Add New" functionality which is not available in the autocomplete function. Happy to beta test...
I tried the autocomplete and it is buggy, too. You can even try it in your website example. Type in a state and select it with the arrow keys and return -> Empty. If you select it with the mouse, it works...
