Topic: Resize draggable panels?

vgs pro asked 3 years ago

Hello,

I like your draggables at https://mdbootstrap.com/plugins/jquery/draggable/ pretty much.

I have the need to built a kind of simple WYSIWYG editor with blocks. But beside mooving the blocks, I also must be able to resize them via mouse.

I expect that if I moove with the mouse over a border of the panel, the mouse pointer gets a vertical or horizontal both-side-arrow, and I can change the size of the panel. How is this possible?

Thank you very much, vgs

Hi @vgs,

Resizing elements via stretch is not supported and is not possible to achieve by any of Draggable methods. Moreover, this is a very complex functionality that needs a lot of custom code to be written. As we do not have such a feature, you can read about it from one of the web tutorials, e.g.: https://medium.com/the-z/making-a-resizable-div-in-js-is-not-easy-as-you-think-bda19a1bc53d
