Topic: Installing NPM / Nodejs on Mac Catalina failure
**Expected behavior**
Load NPM and NodeJS following mdb installation guide https://mdbootstrap.com/education/react/installation-1-npm/ download and install node-v13.2.0 install itself appeared to work. make simple hello.js file as documented on page (console.log("Hello world from MDB"); Using terminal opened in same folder (used ls to check was in right folder) then node -v result v13.2.0 npm -v result 6.13.1 so appeared to be working and installed then following documentation node hello.js Result should be Hello World Actual behavior {\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\cocoartf2511 ^

Does someone have a work around to get this working? Suspect this new mac update is locking folders or files somewhere but not sure where. Thanks Mark

Not sure. Currently I have wiped my Mac and installed fresh Catalina operating system 10.15.1 (19B88) Installed npm node etc versions show up as being installed yet cannot get npm start to work so far at least.

Next step installed "docker" and ran it with the intention of running inside container. on an impulse went back and ran node hello.js and it now works? So up and running. Not sure why but its up so good to go. Hope this helps someone else

Could you please share your docker file with us? I'm running MDB React on Mac OS and everything is working
