Topic: mdboostrap Pro React

Alexis Comte priority asked 1 year ago

Expected behavior ? Actual behavior Hello, I started my web site using the mdboostrap pro with vanilla javascript

Now, I plan to use REACT on my website

Is there anything I have to do with mdboostrap ?

Shall I change my mdboostrap with the react version ?

What will happen to what I have done so far ? Will it still be working ?

Resources (screenshots, code snippets etc.)

When creating MDB Standard, we did not take into account that it would be used with frontend frameworks. We have created dedicated versions for the frameworks. The standard version will not always work in frameworks as you would expect. For example, if a component you create in React is not added to the DOM after page load, it will not have our components initialized when it appears. This means that you will sometimes have to init components manually. It's a minor inconvenience, but you have to take it into account.

There may also be more problems. We have never tested how MDB Standard works with React and what are the problems with it. Unfortunately, we do not support such integration either. So we cannot guarantee that there will be no other issues and we do not support such integration.

If you have decided to use React, you should use the MDB React. Unfortunately, you'll have to rewrite what you've done so far on MDB React. You can try to import MDB React and MDB Standard on your site. But we don't support adding 2 different MDB versions on the same page. This can cause style and component operation issues.
