I just have a generic question. The side navigation used in the MDB documentation (the side menu that changes context when you scroll on the page) is that MDB component? If it is which one is it?

The top-right navigation/scroll spy is a custom variation of scrollspy. https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/react/navigation/scrollspy/
You can combine it with SmoothScroll: https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/react/advanced/scroll/
