Expected behavior Is there any way I can achieve a placeholder for MDBSelect Sure I can set selected to something like ‘Please select...’ however this does not work for required field (as form validation will believe it already has a value)

Also the validation for required mdbselect does not conform with the same way other fields are validated by MDBModal - falls back to native validation. Any suggestions here?
