Topic: Datatable: Support percentage-based column widths.

StevePy priority asked 1 year ago

Given that Bootstrap is designed for responsive UI behaviour it would be expected that the DataTable would accommodate better sizing options for columns including percentage-based sizing and "auto".

Desired Behaviour: I should be able to specify a width of either a number (for fixed width columns), a percentage, (I.e. '10%' for percentage-based width columns) or something like "auto" or "full" for fit to width columns. I did see mention of an autoWidth prop relating to a Vue-based DataTable. I could not find something like that in the documentation for the default Bootstrap control.

Actual Behaviour: Currently the column options for the DataTable support a fixed size in pixels, and a equal ratio of remaining available space.
