Topic: is Node on server necessary?

We are considering a purchase of MDB but are confused.

For MDB CLI do we install node on our Linode server? Or do we just need it locally for development?

Thanks for the reply. You have a nice product and probably well-worth the price to those who are doing large sites but all we need are two components... responsive parallax and a portfolio. We want to convert this WordPress site to Bootstrap: https://radioqsl.com. $99 a year is just out of the question for me.

I've looked all over for a theme that has what I want without me having to take out a ton of code I don't need. The one that I found uses CSS background images which a difficult (maybe impossible) to make them responsive (and lord knows I've tried!)

Thanks again.

In order to use MDB CLI you need to have Node & NPM installed on the machine where MDB CLI is being used.

So if you are going to run MDB CLI commands on your server then yes, Node and NPM are required. But if you only want to use it to locally initialize a project then you don't need to have Node on the server.
