Topic: I am trying to use a section-team template but got an error (react version)

rmedrano23 pro asked 6 years ago

I got this error: Element type is invalid: expected a string (for built-in components) or a class/function (for composite components) but got: undefined. You likely forgot to export your component from the file it's defined in, or you might have mixed up default and named imports. Cutting lines of code I was able to isolate the line that is producing the error to the following: <Avatar tag="img"src="https://mdbootstrap.com/img/Photos/Avatars/img%20(32).jpg"className="rounded-circle z-depth-1 img-fluid"alt="Sample avatar"/> I guess something is wrong with Avatar component. Could you please advice? Thanks. Rodolfo. pd. Not sure about the version ... How do I find out?

Hi Rodolfo,

Thanks for reaching out! The error message is rather common and ambiguous. It most cases it seems to be regarding the import statement on the top of the file in question. To solve it, we need some more info though, like - how exactly do you use team section "template" (which is, in fact, more of a presentation of a section than a template per se). Is the Avatar component imported differently than the rest? Is the component mentioned in the src/index.js file? To learn about version, please refer to mdbreact package.json file.

With Best Regards,
Kuba
