Topic: datepicker with inputmask

meesha81 priority asked 1 year ago

Expected behavior datepicker with input mask like "99.99.9999" to enter date with predefined decimal places. So you are able to type date only with numeric keyboard. Datepicker unfortunately haven't this almost basic function of datepicker. You can enter anything to the input field.

Actual behavior Inputmask without datepicker works fine. Datepicker without input mask works "fine"(but numeric input is not formatted). Datepicker with Inputmask have problem with cursor position, because you are still in the first part of mask ( if you type 01 cursor do not jump to the "mm" section, but return between d|d.

How to use datepicker with inputmask? Or how to use datepicker with formatted input field for numeric input (not by mouse in the calendar). User should have both opinions - choose by mouse in the calendar and also type date by keyboard...

For now, there is no simple way to do this efficiently. We are working on a workaround and will consider adding this feature later.
