Topic: Incorrect Datepicker highlight

UNNdev priority asked 3 years ago

Expected behavior

The Datepicker component highlights the currently selected date and today's date. All other dates are not highlighted.

Actual behavior

When navigating to other years and months and selecting other dates, the highlight is erratic.

Upon further investigation, I noticed that each Datepicker page will show the element highlighted as active which has previously been clicked on on that specific view.

So for example:

  1. Open the Datepicker and switch to the years, pick 2024, then pick July and eventually the 9th
  2. Open the Datepicker again and page through the months using the < or > buttons and select another date in 2022 on August for example
  3. Open the Datepicker a third time and switch to the years view: 2024 is highlighted because that was the year picked in step 1. Once you picked a year, July is going to be highlighted because that was the month you picked in step 1 in that view. With the days, it's also the same, the day is highlighted which was last clicked no matter the year and month.
