Topic: Parallax image to fit width

firstascent priority asked 3 years ago

Expected behavior images in Parallax should fit to the width of the screen without zooming in

Actual behavior an image in Parallax seems to zoom in to 100% size causing little to be seen of the entire image, image total width should fit. You can see this on one of the examples, the actual image you can only see the first left half since it is zoomed in, but if you look at the raw image there is so much more to the scene that isn't shown. .

Hi,

The image needs to be zoomed in this way in order to provide similar parallax effect on different screen sizes.

Keep coding,
Dawid

Thanks Dawid, is there no options around this? I specifically upgraded and paid extra for the Advanced package specifically to use the parallax option with MDB5. It's literally the only feature in the Advanced package that I needed. I was expecting to be able to recreate the same effects from MDB4 and Jarallax.

But doing so, using the exact same image, I can't even see what the image is due to it zooming in so much now.

You can try to play around with options (especially scale and horizontalAlignment) . You can find them under API tab https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/standard/plugins/parallax.
