Topic: Will I need to write my own CSS classes to build web pages with MDB

jmccall33 free asked 3 years ago

I'm being given specific instructions while using MDB 5 to point to the external library files and start building pages. I asked where I should put my CSS styles and I was also told that I should not ever need to write any additional CSS because MDB 5 has every CSS that will ever be required. Is this an accurate conclusion? Is this the reason people can build any website quickly with MDB 5.

If You want to add some custom styles or create new elements without using our components, then You have to add Your own css styles. However, MDB provides lot of styles and customization options, so it should be enough to create beautiful web pages.

Check out MDB lab: https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/standard/lab/. Here You will find few popular pages, coded with MDB components and just several lines of additional css.

If You still want to add custom styles, add it to css folder in MDB project and link it in HTML document or if You are using scss, You will have to add new config in bundler, that will load Your scss file.
